This remarkable unit helps clean up the studio by illuminating messy connector cords that go from the flash units to the camera. It triggers any photographic flash unit from any camera that has a hot shoe or PC outlet. The transmitter has a standard hot shoe to attach to the camera or if the camera doesnt have a hot shoe, included in the kit is a pc cord that attaches to the pc connection on the camera and then to the transmitter. The receiver has a 3.5mm sync mini jack to fit most studio flash units. There is also an adapter from 3.5mm to mono to fit studio flash units that accept a mono jack. The back of the receiver will also accept a standard pc cord.The transmitter has a test button and is powered by a replaceable 12v battery (23GA), which is included, and is good for up to 20,000 triggerings. The receiver runs on 2 AAA batteries (not included) which are good for up to 30,000 triggerings. Both feature a standby mode that saves battery life. You can choose from 4 channels allowing up to four photographers to be working in the same area without interfering with each other or to avoid interference from other wireless networks. The working range of the unit is up to 85 feet and will transmit through obstacles such as walls.
