This Vivitar 283 & 285HV hot shoe upgrade adds remote triggering versatility . Slides onto flash foot and needs no other connection ;150' range built-in optical slave . Hardware needed as a permanent reinforcement attaching slave to the Vivitar foot included, no rewiring or factory service from Vivitar necessary. Slave/Replacement Foot has a built-in female "household" socket. Optical slave is disabled whenever a male household cord is affixed to the female household socket. Housing is made of aircraft aluminum and has a 1/4-20" threaded female socket underneath for mounting upon tripods and light stands.
